#9 - Classmate Blog Critique

 Classmate Blog Critique

As stated in past classmate blog critiques, I enjoy reading and seeing the changes in my classmates' blogs. The professionalism in their posts and the personalization of their blogs inspire me to constantly improve and produce high-quality work. All of my peers did a phenomenal job this semester, and I have enjoyed reading and hearing them present their assignments. I admire aspects of each blog; however, I want to discuss two classmates and give them a shout-out for their fantastic work this semester.

 Taylor Rich

I feel it is important to mention that I am not choosing Taylor's blog because she chose me. I always critique Taylor's blog because I have admired her work since we were in Introduction to Mass Communication together during my freshman year. Her work is clear and professional, and I always find the topics she chooses to discuss interesting. I have enjoyed seeing her build her brand across all her blogs and extend her professionalism to her media presentations in our other classes.

Her paper on Lemon8 was informative, and as always, she uses a structure that makes her work easy to read while incorporating excellence and professionalism. I also wanted to give her a shout-out for her Wild Card on Disney influencers. I admire her passion for Disney and can see it translate in her work when she chooses it for a topic.

I was very impressed with Kenison's work during our first class together. I can see his personality through his brand, and the quality of his work is exceptional. I like how all the photos he uses for his blog posts are blue to match his brand. I can always tell he puts a lot of work into his blogs, and I have enjoyed reading his posts for Directed Study I.

I really liked his critique of the show Bel-Air. Although I have not seen the reboot, I have seen The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, starring Will Smith. Because I have not seen the show, I found reading Kenison's post beneficial. He includes the history of the show and goes into detail regarding the first two seasons. I like how he compares the reboot to the original. It is noticeable that his formality and professionalism translate to all of his work.

Taylor and Kenison produce high-quality work, and I have enjoyed reading their blogs this semester. It has been an honor to be in class among so many talented writers, and their work has inspired and helped me produce the work that I do. The improvement in my writing is, in part, thanks to my peers, and I want to congratulate everyone on doing great work.
